Today I received a Oceanic Atom 1.0 dive computer that I purchased from another Divebuddy.com member. It was listed in the classifieds area of the site and was described as a good working computer in great shape with a bad transmitter.

The price was great even considering the bad transmitter and after contacting the seller I arranged for it to include the download adapter, software disk and even shipping. I even was surprised to find a protective cover for the face of the computer included in the shipment.

After inspecting and testing I found the computer to be completely up to snuff the only problem was the transmitter as advertized. I opened the battery cover of the transmitter to check the battery it metered the 3 volts required so I took a look inside the battery compartment to find a very small amount of dirt on the battery contacts.

You guessed it! That`s all it took to get the transmitter operational. The best $150 I`ve ever spent! Thanks Greg for Divebuddy.com and thanks again Randy for a smokin deal.
