Dive Reports

Completed first two OW dives today at Martha’s Quarry to earn Scuba Diver Certification. Unfortunately since I’m on R&R from Afghanistan I couldn’t complete entire OW Course this time around.

Tim Cochrane (Cochrane Scuba in Gallatin, TN) was my pool and OW instructor. Air temp was around 86 and the quarry water was like bath water...until you hit the thermocline about 25 feet or so down. One other class of about 5 was also in the water. Other than that just a lot of curious brim. I would estimate visibility at around 8 meters. First dive was more or less an orientation dive. Second dive was skills and swimming out to and around the crusher house.
