You’ve dream about it every night. You’ve been a dozen times. Or, you wish you’d been there a dozen times. It’s your favorite underwater photography destination—we all have one!
At the July meeting of the New York Underwater Photography Society on July 28th, we invite underwater photographers of all levels to share images of their favorite imaging destinations. Whether it’s down the road at Dutch Springs or halfway across the globe in Indonesia, we want to see your images and to tell us what makes your favorite destination so special.
The meeting will start off with a brief presentation from the pros on how to best plan, prepare and pack for your trip, whether it’s your favorite destination or just the next one on the itinerary. After that, we open the floor to all underwater photographers to share their top photos from a place they hold near and dear to their hearts.
Image Specifications:
Please send 10-12 of your favorite images from your featured destination. The ideal size of each landscape orientation image is 10” wide and 7.5” high for portrait images. Feel free to send images attached in the email or through DropBox. Videos are welcome too, preferably through a file-sharing service depending on file size.
In your email, on the subject line please type in caps “NYUPS IMAGES: Favorite Destination.” Please email all your images to Joe Tepper at Joe@DivePhotoGuide.com and CC Larry Cohen at larry@liquidimagesuw.com.
Date of Submission:
Please submit images no later than July 27th. Please note that you do not need to submit images to attend the meeting – feel free to just come and enjoy the images, share and learn a little about improving your photography techniques! We want to stress that our meetings are for photographers of all levels. It doesn’t matter what camera you use or how long you’ve been shooting, NYUPS wants to share the joys of underwater imaging with everyone interested.
This month our meeting is back at Alpha Fusion. Our host Henry Yang is a NYUPS supporter and most of his restaurant will be set-aside for us. So join us for a great time having Asian food, drinks and learning a bit more about new destinations.
