NYUPS meeting/workshop

Event Location 365 W 34th St, NY, NY

NYUPS was founded a decade ago by underwater photographers, for underwater photographers. In this spirit, we have decided to invite some of our dedicated members to present tips and techniques in the coming year.

At the October meeting (Monday, Oct 12th, 2015) award winning photographer PJ will share her advice for improving your macro imagery. PJ just returned from Indonesia.

The meeting will kick off with PJ’s 15-minute presentation on macro equipment, lighting, composition, and even a few creative techniques. Then, she well turn the spotlight over to other NYUPS members, as we invite you to share your recent macro images for praise and critique from the talented field of photographers in the room.

IMAGE SUBMISSION:
The ideal size of each landscape orientation image is 10” wide x 7.5” high, with individual file sizes being no larger than 1 MB. Please email your ten images to Larry Cohen at larry@liquidimagesuw.com and CC Joe Tepper at Joe@DivePhotoGuide.com, with the subject line “NYUPS Images—Macro.”

If you would like to submit videos, please bring them to the meeting as Quicktime files on flash drive, CD or DVD. Videos should be clips less then 5 minutes each.

As always, NYUPS meetings are free and we highly encourage anyone and everyone to attend and share their images.

DEADLINE:
The deadline for your ten best images is October 11th. After that, we cannot accept anymore entries (without free beers for the NYUPS crew). Once you send in images, you will receive confirmation within 48 hours. If you do not, or have any questions, resend the email.

We hope to see you and your wonderful images at the NYUPS 2015 Macro Workshop on October 12th.
