What do you usually wear underneath your wetsuit? Not a drysuit, but a wetsuit. Underwear? Spandex shorts? Bathing suit, swim shorts? Nothing? Please comment on the material (cotton, polyester, lycra, etc.).

[Choose #4] Why would I wear anything under the wetsuit. Undergarments are for diving dry. Remember, no matter who you are or what you’re wearing under your wetsuit, under that we’re all still nude.

[Choose #2] Tight down to the knee shorts. But I save the others by putting on my reg. trunks over them when not in the wetsuit. Nothing worse then an old guy on a live aboard all week just wearing a high school speedo.

[Choose #5] 2-piece skin suit (pants and shirt) that I put together from Sports Authority and Walmart - about 1/3 the cost of a onesy, and easier to deal with for the inevitable pitstop between dives!

[Choose #5] I have only been cold water diving so I wear a dive skin under my 8 mil semi dry.

[Choose #5] Lycra dive skin. Much easier to get wetsuit on and off, especially wet.

[Choose #5] In the tropics I dive with a quick-dry swimsuit and dive skin only or I wear the same under my wetsuit in colder freshwater dives.

[Choose #2] Plain old black spandex brief, Easy in and out of the dive skin and they provide just enough modesty as not to embarrass female divers, or myself

[Choose #3] In the old days wetsuits didn’t stretch as much and bathing suits lumped up and left welts so I tried a Speedo and got painful sunburn in places the sun had never seen before :(
