 Diving in Puerto Rico May 1, 2014

We will be diving in Puerto Rico first week in May. This will be in Ensenada, near Ponce. We are looking for recommendations on good dive shops. Island Scuba has been recommended but they require a minimum of 4 divers for night dives, which we really want to do. So, we are looking for two more divers so we can get some night dives in, or an alternative dive shop that won’t require the minimum. Thank you for your time.

I am from PR and just returned from the island yestersday. I dove w Pedro Padilla of Island scuba. Pedro is one of the few that will go out without minumum divers for daylight diving. You will not find anyone that I know in PR that will go out for a night dive without that minimun diving requirements. You can try to do shore diving out of Aguadilla ( Crash Boat) or Rincon and see if any of the shops there will do a night dive w you for just the two of you. However Aguadilla and Rincon are about 1 hour drive from Guanica. ( Ensenada is a sector of the main town of Guanica) Island Scuba is actually in Playa Santa, Guanica. Ensenada is close but not actually where you will be...
