I’ll second Lauderdale by the Sea, shower at every exit but parking sucks.

I just dove there on Sunday. Great dive! But LatitudeAdjustment is right, parking can be a real pain here... I would recommend having dive buddy drop you and gear off at entry site, then go find parking and walk back to meet you. Reverse procedure when finished diving.

Do you remember any hotels by chance or a street name? Trying to find somewhere close to stay or is it not an area we would want to stay at? Thanks soooo much!

My wife and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott on Commercial Blvd. a few yrs ago. Was very nice and only minutes from beach.

Thank you so much to both of you for your help :)

There are special exemptions for divers, but I believe it may require vehicle pre-registration. Datura Ave has a small parking lot open to the public that you can often sneak into because it looks as if it’s tenant parking for adjacent apartments. Good luck and dive safely! :)

I stayed at "A Little Inn By The Sea" right on the beach in Lauderdale By The Sea. The first and second reef are very close to shore in the area so you would just need to go out your back door and dive. It is walking distance to town or the grocery store from there so you will have little need for a car once you get there.
