 Going to Guantanamo Bay Cuba for one-year

I am going to GITMO at the end of October 2014, and I will be there for one-year. I have mailed my tank and will send my dive gear there also. I am told that this is cost-effective if I am doing a lot of diving.

I will be working there, but I would like to do a lot of diving and also take sailing lessons.

If anyone is there, going there, or has information about there that they are allowed to share in this forum, please let me know.

Good luck I heard the diving there was pretty good .
I bet you’ll have some great stories to tell when your done !!!

I’ve heard it has great diving from a co-worker who was stationed there about ten years ago. Be sure to take pictures and update the site descriptions in "Dive Sites" :)

I am at GTMO and there is plenty to do here in and out of the water. If anyone is looking for a dive buddy, I am available. Also, for snorkeling, fishing, etc.
