Used iPad mini to preview and log a dive, easy to use and no problems. Question/comment, is it possible to make it an app where could log dives without being connected to internet then upload would complete when having active connection?

I have a large image on my profile and that doesn’t resize to fit the screen being viewed on.
I’m playing with it on my Android. It’s easy to browse and view posts.

Agojo, I do not plan on making an app. I prefer to remain device neutral and stick with a mobile website.
Eric_R, I will look into that more and fix it. I have a script that checks for images and adds a max image width...I’ll make sure that gets applied on the profile description.

Eric_R, the large image on your profile should be reduced to fit now. Please check again.

Also, please test the "near my location" icon on the Dive Sites page on the mobile site. It’s the blue/white icon that looks like a target. When you click that, it should ask to use your current location, then it should show dive sites within 100 miles of you.

Using Samsung Note 4. Screen Rotation is fine sizes well to screen. Navigation is a little difficult to follow sometimes as I’m not sure where to point. Like the near me function in dive sites found them all except for the pool 2 doors down. Don’t like having to type in such a long url to get to it. Can you do something aboutthat?
Also the login on my page is in a bad place takes several attempts to select login using my stylus. Trys to scroll down. It seem to be to close to the bottom. Same for logout
It works fine on my Sony android phone including screen rotation. Is,"Sort by Date Added" the default and unchangeable? I normally use, "Sort By Last Post."
Also, how do you like a post on mobile?

Nitediver, what is the name of the dive site when you refer to "the pool two doors down"? Eventually, I will automatically route mobile traffic to the mobile site so you won’t need to keep typing it in. The Login option is available from the Menu icon in the top right...do you see that?
cmulvaney, I’m not going to add "Sort by Last Post" to the mobile site. I had to cut the features list somewhere...otherwise might as well just use the desktop version. And I just added the "Like" ability to forum posts.
Thank you!

Hi Greg. Just uploaded an image with no problem. I’m using the iPhone 6+. Now I’m commenting from my phone as well.
Can you add an edit option to posts? I forgot to mention that I’m using a flash enable browser called, Puffin.

I see the login Greg but the logout is still getting confused with the scroll function with or without the stylus. Not the end of the world but I tried it just now and it still take several (5) attempts to get the logout to function. By the way not trying to put to fine a point on it, I do like to scroll through the first page before I log in which made the login at the bottom of the page a nice feature.

Checked out the dives sites link for 100 miles near me. Works great.
I like being able to quickly and easily switch between the mobile and full desktop views too.

Did you all happen to notice how I handle 4 or more uploaded photos by the same member on the same day? I only show 4 thumbnails on the home page, but when you click the photos, it shows you larger versions of all the photos.

I just added a "Members" option to the mobile site Menu. It will show Recent Members and your Buddy List if you’re logged in. It will also show members near you if you click the location icon.
When you’re viewing a member’s profile, you can also click "Buddies" to see their dive buddies.
And when you’re viewing a dive site profile, you can click "9 Divers Have Been Here".
Please test this and report what you find. Thank you!

I just used my Samsung added a photo and answered on the Forums ok (Deleted the answers about how to upload phone pics because I cheated and used the mobile to upload pic)

Just put the site on my iPhone 6, great work, flawless so far. Thanks Greg

From my Android (3"x2" screen) when I open a link in the email that db.com sends me when someone comments on a photo it opens in desktop mode. I don’t see a way to get it into mobile mode after I open the link.

From BillParker: From my Android (3"x2" screen) when I open a link in the email that db.com sends me when someone comments on a photo it opens in desktop mode. I don’t see a way to get it into mobile mode after I open the link. I haven’t yet built the auto-redirect to the mobile site. I’m still deciding how I want to do that. Do I transfer all the time if I sense a mobile device...or do I give the user the option to view the mobile version?
I vote option. Some things are more easily accessible from desktop view. Like on Facebook, the mobile app kills access to photo albums. Their layout is all wrong.
I’d rather have it automagically go into mobile mode like other sites that support mobile do. Whatever you think is best.

I just fixed an issue with the comment reply text box. I am now using a multi-line text box instead of a single-line. This makes it easier to see what you’re typing if you type a longer reply.

Hey guys...I just added a search option on the mobile Dive Sites and Members page. Try it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!
