So I went to the peninsula Saturday at 8:00 and since you are unidentifiable in the only photo you have posted, I looked around for anyone who looked like they were alone and waiting for a buddy or me specifically. Finding none, I just went up to the gate, handed in my divetracker receiver and did a solo dive. I went clockwise around the entire perimeter of the quarry at 50’ with a few dips down to 80’ out on the west end. Water temp was very comfortable and the vis is good right now due to the thermoclines going away and the minimal number of divers in the water these days. BTW, if anyone is wondering what happened to all the fish, they are all in one big school hanging out at the far far far west end of the quarry at about 35’.

Went back yesterday and just did a short dive from the wedding dock out to the helicopter and back with a friend of mine and his OW student on dive 4. The student did pretty well - just a little silting from the flutter kicking and some kicking upward while dumping gas to go downward (cancelling each other out and wasting energy and gas to go nowhere). But generally good buoyancy and fairly calm and smooth for a new diver.

Both days were very comfortable in the water but a little chilly apon exit to the cold air and wind.

Hope you did find a buddy for Saturday.
