Your best friend may not be your best dive buddy.

Anyone ever dove with a buddy they later realized was not safe? What happened what was the scenario and have you ever dove with that person again?

[Choose #1] Its takes years to find a dive buddy with the same experience and skill level. I have had (ONLY) less experienced divers say that I’m an unsafe diver. I just easily agree and say your correct, I will learn in time.

[Choose #1] Had to surface multiple times due to her wandering off in poor visibily. Had to free myself when I got caught in a line due to her once again not being there. Love her, won’t dive solo with her again.

[Choose #1] I just try to be patient, and keep them in sight. Explain the problems later on the surface. It is easy to become complaisent and forget common sence. Somtimes people just need a reminder.

[Choose #1] I guess it’s a matter of degree. As long as he is not drowning me I can put up with dumb stuff. As l ong as it’s just a learning curve.

[Choose #1] My best friend and I got certified together and on our first official dive together she disappeared. I found her on the surface clearing her mask. it was our first and last dive together.

[Choose #1] I think everybody will eventually. The best thing is to educate them before it’s to late.

[Choose #1] I have dove with buddies that just take off, never look back or at their Gauges/computer. Once per individual only!
