Right. The key words are "need help". Everybody sez they’ll help but all are frantically getting ready themselves plus carrying their own heavy gear/equipment across the sand and down to the water. Then they have to come all the way back up to help you? Not. Boat diving is somewhat better but carrying stuff from car to dock, then into the boat, then out of the boat, then dock to car..........same thing.

I understand that. I guess I’ve always been lucky having someone to carry the heavy stuff. I use a hand truck to move the heavy stuff to the boat or. I don’t drive so I have to move everything from the house to bus to the train to the bus to the dive local, but I use my handy hand truck to do that. I wish you the best.

Have you ever considered sidemount. I’m not a huge fan of sidemount, myself (traditional backmount diver),... but I know several people with very bad backs. They use large wheel hand tucks or wagons to get their cylinders across land to the water, The harness/ wing weighs nearly nothing, then put the cylinders on in the water.... Just a thought....
