Newly run lines to all of the items at the dive park complete with underwater signs on them to indicate what they lead to next. Visibility on 9/22/2024 was about 15 feet above the thermocline and maybe up to 20 at points below it.

ok to dive at ... has a rocky shore which can be tough to traverse (I am an older diver so it’s tougher for us older divers) ... viz 15-20 ft in the shallower portion and increases to 20-30 past 40 feet ... first thermocline August 2018 23 ft 80 F+ —> 70’s and generally the temp drops to the mid-50 closer to 50 feet ... As a side note there is a nice dive shop close to lake C & J

Lots of place to dive on lake.

FYI: North park campground (up by the dam) is the best (most accessible) shore diving).

No training platforms that I’m aware of, though there are areas where divers have sunk items of interest (houseboat, cars). Most of the bottom is rubble - normal Arkansas rock, maybe due to the building of the dam - but not real conducive to life besides mussels. I understand there are structures left from the original town, but not sure of the depths.

CJ Sports, which is a full-service dive shop as well as an innkeeper of sorts. They were the highlight of our trip - very friendly to divers. Despite that, I’d hesitate to stay at the bunkhouse again - the walls block no sound and you are at the mercy of everyone else in the building. The nearby town has plenty of housing but at the going rates.

Eureka springs has a world-class Bavarian as well as an Italian restaurant - probably more!

Never stayed in the bunk house but if you stay above the shop it is VERY nice. The pseudo cabins down the hill behind the shop are also nice.
