Bolo Pt (Zanpa-misaki) is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in Yomitan, Okinawa, Japan. This dive site has an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 from 14 scuba divers. The maximum depth is over 150ft/46m. The average visibility is 81-90ft/25-27m.
Hard to access from shore (trek with gear across jagged limestone terrain & climb in/out of water) & some dangerous current & surf potentials. Depths can be dramatic but underwater life is hard to find elsewhere on Okinawa.
I have seen multiple sharks and turtles on almost every dive as well as
Napoleon wrasses, occasional mantas and usually hear migrating whales
during January through March. I have also seen schooling bat fish,
travail, Bonita and Dog tooth as well as an occasional barracuda.
Definitely not for those new to diving or who have a hard time reading water conditions.
