CURTIS REINAUER (1938)

Built in 1943, by George Lawley and Son of Neponset, Massachusetts (hull #1307) as the DPC-19 for United States Army.

The tug was later redesignated as the WSA-2.

In 1949, she was sold and renamed as the Clayton P. Kehoe.

She was sold and renamed as the Canal Cities.

The tug later was acquired by Reinauer Transportation Companies of Staten Island, New York where she was renamed as the Curtis Reinauer.

In the 1990’s she was acquired by JK Marine where she was renamed as the K-2.

In 1999, the tug was sold and reefed under the name of Jay-Jay.

This is such a great dive. Great swim throughs and a good penetration dive. Tug is upright and intact. Good for lobsters and if you get into the sand and look around base of wreck, lots of crab.
