 Diving in Panama City beach Florida

I will be in Panama City Beach Florida in mid Febuary and would like to know if the diving is good.I know temps can be cold and do you know of any good dive boats.

The diving around here is decent in Feb. I usually wear a 7 mil and you might want a hood. I’ve been out with on the Dive Locker’s boat and they do a good job. (If the weather is uncooperative, don’t forget about the springs just to the north.)

I’ve been spoiled by the caribbean and found the viz pretty weak. Still, a chance to get wet is not to be passed over. Looked into doing the Oriskany but ended up just diving an old Navy dive tender and some sunken barges. Not a lot of wildlife. I’ve got a 5 mil suit that worked fine in September.

Don’t forget the springs!

Especially Vortex!!! Of course I’m a little partial to it cause I work there
