I’d like to make one check-out dive from my boat on Lake Anna in the next few days.

If you’d like to join me, please email.

Can you add this location to the dive site section on DiveBuddy? Include the area you dive, maybe some pics, the depth, temp, etc. Thank you!

I know a trusted source who has completed several muck dives in Lake Anna. There is water but there is 1-2 ft viz. and it does not change. I would not waste my time there, but who knows you may find an anomaly in those conditions.

Best of luck!!

I hope you’re good at doing things by braille. When I tried it, the vis was so awful that I could barely read my illuminated wrist computer. When I tried to use my dive light, it actually made things worse because the light reflected off all the little pieces of crap in the water. I was able to determine that my gear functioned, but that was all. Climbed out after only 8 minutes. Keep in mind that I was diving in one of the tributaries. You might get slightly better vis in the deeper parts, but stay away from the river mouths and definitely avoid the dykes where the warm water re-enters the main lake.
