I do a lot of lake diving out of necessity but I started diving because I have family in Mexico and realized I was crazy to be going to all these great dive locations but I wasn’t certified. Some of the more interesting places I have dove are Cancun, Cozumel (many times), and Los Cabos San Lucas, which is interesting but cold. When in lakes I prefer to dive Nitrox, which limits depth but allows for more dives.
I love the freedom and feel lucky to be an underwater guest for a short time, but I take my diving seriously. I am very aware of where my buddy is and what they are doing, and I like to think that I have put in enough dives in diverse settings that I can react to emergencies without panicking. That said, I am a member of and insured by DAN.
