Pine Cay is a small island just east of Providenciales. This site is one of the few moored sites off Pine Cay and the most unique. The coral forms three high sloping walls around a large flat sand patch at 80 feet which gives the site the appearance of a large football stadium (complete with yard line markers provided by wave ripples in the sand). Narrow grooves in the coral wall form the walkways (or should we say, swimways) into the stadium. This is one of the best sites for hard corals, lots of fish diversity and large schools of fish. Spadefish, young barracuda, jacks and Chub are almost always on this site in large numbers. You can see a video of a dive on this site at www.ScubaVisions.TV, episode 10 (www.tinyurl.com/r8y6k6).
