Baja Gray Whale Trip PlanningHi, I am planning the next trip down Baja for more gray whale encounters in San Ignacio, Mexico, and I want to get a list of interested people. BTW, this is not a dive trip. I am starting early this year because hotel accommodations are limited at San Ignacio during the whale migration season, and early reservations are recommended. The tentative plan is to leave from Orange County Friday morning, February 15th, 2008, stay in a hotel in Catavina that evening, drive to a hotel in San Ignacio the next day, visit the whale lagoon the next two days returning each night to the hotel, leave for home on Tuesday Feb. 19th, stay again at Catavina, and arrive home Wednesday, Feb. 20th. This schedule is being selected because of the President`s Day holiday which allows teachers and students to have a day off during the trip. I will be taking my 4X4 Exterra, and presently do not have any passengers. We usually caravan down Baja as a group, but if you need a ride I am sure we will find space for you. Please respond to this e-mail if you are interested, and interested does not mean committed at this time. Once I get a list I will set up a meeting to discuss details and make reservations. The total cost per person has always been under $500.00. Don`t forget that next year passports will be required for re-entry to the US. Call or e-mail if you have any questions.
