Agojo - 12/28/2013 8:18 AM
August 2013 on a charter (Florida Panhandle) 3 dive trip with dives to 102-114’ with 32% EAN. Buddy & I taking pics, being first in and last out on first two dives. On third dive we extended SI due to depth and nitrogen loading. On the way down we meet the spear fisherman that went down with short SI. We toured the wreck and started up anchor line thinking we were the last divers in the water. At 84’ we paused while I secured and stowed my camera. It was at this time we noticed a lone diver (spe...

We were building a few gas stations in an island in the Philippines and I have to check all of them every so often. The island is so rural it felt like stepping into the past. And it’s small enough to be circled in just three hours by motorcycle through a seaside highway. Though not so many, it has a steadily rising population. There are lesser people in the south part, and a long stretch of beach is un-peopled for most of the day. I usually stop by a bluff overlooking the sea, which has a view ...

I have created an Android application to help with Nitrox calculations. The application should run on any Android device. It is designed to help facilitate the calculation, and in no means replace training. BubblesBelow - 8/26/2012 6:21 AM
Back in the day - working a several-ton semi-submersible ("Maui E-Ticket") off the coast of Lahaina, in Maui, entertaining the newly-weds and nearly-deads. Had to grab goodies off the ocean floor to bring up to the windows and show the "ooohh, not me, never" people, that preferred the topsides of life. Was a pretty fun job till I got knocked out, under water, while scrubbing the hull and windows on a down day and in big surf! The "Screaming E Ticket", as we called it, ended up on the reef, in fr...

Fellow scuba divers, On 17 March 2012, while recording a video to capture the sounds of migrating whales at Maeda Point Okinawa Japan, I caught an EVP that says "GET OUT OF HERE". This happens at the 25 second mark. Turn the sound up and listen closely...There are ghosts underwater!

Just as the beauty of Devil’s Den unfolds each time I have the opportunity to dive it so does the marvel of making new friends in the world of SCUBA diving. Many of you are saying that just isn’t a reality but in my experiences it is and let me take a few minutes to explain. While Precious Cargo Diving has an annual migration to the Florida Springs, each February, they continue to get better and better. This year I had the opportunity to meet a couple of regulars Michael and DeAnn ...

RAWalker - 11/21/2011 2:21 AM
Well after 2 years at the Certification level of Divemaster it was time to progress. I took the PADI Instructor Developement Course with a great course director Patrick Hammer. It was a exhuasting week of training which had it’s high and low points but in the end I was able to pull it all together and passed the PADI Instructor Exam given in Mesa & Lake Pleasant here in Arizona. We had a great group of candidates all of which completed even in the low vis and 61F conditions we found ourselves. I...
