Lake Meredith is a popular recreation destination. Five boat launch ramps and a marina make boating and fishing popular activities. Other popular water-based activities include waterskiing, sailing, sailboarding, scuba diving, and swimming. For camping enthusiasts, Lake Meredith offers the three general types of campgrounds: the caprock campgrounds, situated on bluffs above the lake; the canyon campgrounds, located in canyons away from the lake; and the shoreline campgrounds, situated along the lake shoreline. Camping at the lake is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to 14 days annually per visitor.
