Lake Etta County Park is a shore accessible fresh water dive site, located at 4801 West 29th Avenue, Gary, IN 46406. The maximum depth is 21-25ft/6-8m. The average visibility is 5-10ft/2-3m.
This is a County Park operated by the Lake County Parks and Recreation Department. It is the borrow site that was used for fill to construct the levees for the Little Calumet River. The borrow pit has since filled and is now a series of lakes used for recreation purposes. Fishing is permitted on the lakes, however SCUBA diving is not.
