The steam powered freighter Saetia was built in 1918 and originally named Colorado. She was 322feet long had a 48 foot beam and displaced 2873 gross tons. On November 9, 1918 The Saetia was cruising off Fenwick Island Light when she struck a mine laid by the U-117. The Saetia went down quickly. Fortunately all 65 of her crew escaped without injury. Today the remains of the Saetia lie upright in 90 feet of water.
This is the outer most of the so called "Twin Wrecks". The other wreck is that of the Oklahoma, a tanker that broke in two on January 4, 1914.
