This site is shallow but is ice free year round. Entrance exit is by the wooden bridge. The water is warmer as it is down river from a small hydro electric dam. Most be aware of the current here at times as well as boat traffic when the Rideau locks system is operational. There was a store grist mill and other structures here over the years.
