Langebaan lagoon is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in 7357, South Africa. The maximum depth is 41-50ft/12-15m. The average visibility is 5-10ft/2-3m.
This dive spot is immune to the fickle Western cape weather and thus can be dived in all conditions but divers beware! it is not a dive for the novice diver. Due to the massive tidal surge this dive should only be planned during the turn of the tide. Due to a lot of overhead boat traffic a compass and a smb is a must. The bottom of the channel is covered in black mussels which provide a home to klipfish, pipe fish and cuttle fish.
