This is a large man-made lake. Lake Acworth is a safe location for anyone who has never experienced low visibility lake diving and wishes to do so without risk. Gas engine boats are not permitted (lots of kayakers). The lake itself is clean (i.e., you do not have to worry about entanglement or running into something.). Most of the lake’s depth ranges between 7-13 feet. Divers can easily enter the lake from either the beach or the fishing dock. Provides facilities for changing, showers, playgrounds, a beach house, Pavilions, Gazebo, and walking paths.
