Lac St-Francois, Scuba Park, Site #4 is a boat accessible fresh water dive site, located in QC, Canada. The maximum depth is 51-60ft/16-18m. The average visibility is 11-15ft/3-5m.
Among the various sites on Lake St-François, the one at St-Anicet offers a visit to a twin-engine plane dating from 1942, a Lockheed L-18 Lodestar, 68 feet long with a wingspan of 69 feet.
The site is located outside the Seaway, in a 50-foot-deep channel. Among the various wrecks and artifacts found on the site, you can see an airplane, a barge, a gas buoy, a bear paw anchor, oak logs and a rowboat. Everything is connected by ropes to facilitate divers’ visits. Access to this site is limited to advanced divers who have some experience diving in the current. In addition, as everywhere on Lake St-François, visibility remains limited to 15-20 feet when conditions are favorable. The best time to dive is from August, until the arrival of snow.
