After more than 30 years of service transporting cargo from Mobile to St. Andrew Bay, the Tarpon sank in 90 feet of water. Today the Tarpon is an Underwater Archaeological Preserve.

Dove this wreck as part of my advanced open water class. Depth about 97 feet. Plenty of fish to see. It was a shame about the lengths of fishing line and lead weights. We collected some of the trash weights when we were down there. The visibility was good. Sea was relatively warm for January at 65F.
