DAN’s Basic Life Support for Dive Professionals takes you one step beyond your Basic CPR/FA/AED course, DAN Oxygen Course and DAN Advanced Oxygen courses. The basic tenet of lay provider training is that you are never more than 10 minutes away from an ambulance response, be that BLS or ALS. In Scuba Diving we know that the boats are often at least 30 minutes from shore. With the opening up of newer, larger wrecks like the Oriskany we now find ourselves up to 3 hours or more from shore and response by an ambulance. The BLS Pro class fills that gap between your standard lay provider classes and the EMT responding on an ambulance. Enhance your skills and learn how to provide two rescuer care along with increasing the level of care provided during that critical time prior to transport to the hospital. If you dive remote areas or get on a boat frequently to get to your dive site then this course is for you.
