Some of the forecasts are showing higher surf that what it might actually be for this weekend. It has to do with a perigean lunar event, pretty interesting here are some facts about it -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perigean_spring_tide
Basically when the moon revolves around the earth at a point that is closest to the earth and that also coincides with a full or new moon you get exaggerated tides around that period. I dont think the surf forecasts always account for that or they miss interpret that as higher surf. I guess we will see first hand.

So how was the dive, anyone care to give a trip report.
bluesteal - 3/06/2012 8:57 AM
There is construction going on at the top of the bluff at honeymoon. It is fenced off, but I think there is a small access on the south side to the trail head. If not, try Christmas tree just down the road. Rode my bike by the other day and conditions looked good, you could see the boulders on the bottom on the north side of the cove out quite a way. Have fun.
JMartin - 3/06/2012 9:01 AM
is it completely fenced off?
bluesteal - 3/06/2012 9:08 AM
I’m not sure if the fence goes all the way to the edge of the bluff. But on the south side, towards christmas tree, it looked like one could pass thru. I hope they are not going to build a house there as this would cut it off permanently. But I think they are just working on that sewer or pipe system there.
JMartin - 3/06/2012 10:55 AM
They have been working there for over a year now, I’m sure we can still get to Honeymoon trai
