The only real diving on Orlando is the fish tank at Epcot, with in an hour are some springs but the best diving is hours away in SE Florida.

I have to agree with the previous posting.
South East Florida would be worth the three hour drive if you have the time.
Force-E Dive Shops does a pretty good job of putting you with reputable charters. They put we on board with Parrot Island Charters out of Pompano Beach. They were pretty much no non-sense, get off the boot and don’t come back until you are out of air. My Dive Buddy went with a Husband and wife Charter but I’m not sure of the boat name, he loved the dive and the boat, also out of Pompano. At least give the http://www.force-e.com/index.shtml a look.
Good Info there about S.E. Florida diving.
You have got to do the drift!
I was there in March 2008 good vis and you’ll need a thrill mil wet suit.
Enjoy!

I would check out Scuba World Orlando. They could probably help you to set up some dives. The shop is owned by a fellow by the name of John Shimkoski. He is a retired Army Special Forces Diver. Their web site is www.scubaworld.net and their phone is (407) 273-3373
Good luck, Have fun & safe diving.

While I was in Orlando last year, I went to the Crystal River area and dove some caves, springs and swam with Mantees. It was great fun. There are a couple of dive shops there. I gravitate toward the small shops over- packed with equipment. There is one of these on the main highway, a hole in the wall with great people and lots of dive info and stories. I think the name of the place was Adventure Scuba and the guy that runs the place is named Carl. The service was spectacular, they had a group that I was going to dive with back out because they all got drunk the night before. Carl called a few people and found me a dive buddy, we were in the water within an hour.
