[Choose #4] As a former commercial diver I solo dove all the time. I still solo dive if I don’t have a buddy.
[Choose #4] I’ll dive solo if it is a shallow dive (say, 20 ft) where I can pop up to the surface, and there are other divers around. I won’t go below 30ft without a buddy - too much risk.
[Choose #4] I dive solo more than I want to admit, however I plan the dive as if I have half the gas that I do. Set strict limits (time and depth), and let someone know where and when I plan to be out. A redundant back up is a must
[Choose #5] I’ve made over 300 solo dives and i’m here on this keyboard telling you about it. what does that tell ya.
[Choose #3] Iv’e only dove with a buddy on certification dives.I dive solo with a pony.
[Choose #2] i need somebody to blame stuff on lol
[Choose #4] Do it everytime I take a group of students into the water. The other times diving solo weren’t much fun since there was no one to share the experience with.
[Choose #2] not only safer but you have someone to share the experience with and another pair of eyes to look for stuff
[Choose #4] I’m not concerned by the cert....but I do have technical diving training which stresses self reliance with failures
[Choose #3] I would like to have the cert, but not for the intention of just solo diving.
[Choose #4] night diving for lobster w/ dive buddy.....is like solo diving.....pony bottles

[Choose #4] Lifes short Dive Solo!!
[Choose #4] A seperate pony bottle system is a must for solo diving...aswell as extra caution and planning.
[Choose #3] Can’t say I did because I don’t have a solo card but 30 percent of the time, shallow, pony in toe
[Choose #4] I enjoy solo diving cause its very relaxing to Me.
[Choose #3] Even diving with a buddy... I only truly trust myself
[Choose #2] Part of diving for me is the social aspect of it. Guys who dive alone probably drink alone too.
[Choose #5] I got solo cert 2 years ago. Started doing many solo dives this year, but only in the very familiar waters of Dutch Springs. Out in the great unknown I prefer a team of 3.
[Choose #4] Only to recover items at docks etc...... Diving alone is not the best thing to do.
[Choose #4] I know it is risky...but I grew up diving alone

[Choose #4] most of my diving is solo. nothing dangerous or scary about it. Fun to dive with friends, but most of the time looong slow dives taking pix. So boring for other divers. Very relaxing solo diving.
[Choose #4] I’m self reliant, but I’d rather have a buddy with me just to share the moment. But if there is no one, I have no problems getting wet anyway. No Solo Diver cert in PADI, no cert needed.
[Choose #5] You need to be self suficient at some point, I dive alone most of the time. Your not a pilot untill you have soloed.
[Choose #4] as a DM, I always dive solo. I have no one looking out for me. As for no one else in the water with me... do it lots
[Choose #5] At a certain point a buddy becomes a liability.
[Choose #4] I have done it before and more than lilkely would do it again, I did have backup air supply and was near shore (not that it matters). I would rather dive with a buddy but sometimes, well it happens.
[Choose #4] you always need to be prepared to take care of your own issues, wether there is a buddy or not. What happens in low viz and your buddys gone? Your now dving solo be prepared
[Choose #2] I dive mainly wrecks - nice to have aBuddy along
[Choose #3] Divemasters and Instructors are often for all without a qualified buddy and therefor e solo divers with responsibility to the diver(s) they are with.
[Choose #3] Dive solo consistantly here in the Northeast. Also dive with redundant gear, including bail out bottle, extra mask, etc... along with additional training.
[Choose #5] Solo dives are SOP around here.
[Choose #4] I think it is not advisable but sometime it just happens, was not the most comfortable dive i have done
[Choose #2] I don’t get to dive often and really don’t know alot about diving. but I think diving alone would be rather foolish and stupid.
