[Choose #2] This only works if Japan and a few others actually abide by their catch share, which they really do not. It’s really throwing your money away.

[Choose #2] The $$ used to buy the shares would only be used to kill more whales. You are investing $$ into the whaling industry. The next season will only have more catch shares avail.

[Choose #1] I understand the theory of the idea and while I admire it, I think to uphold the fact that you, who may live in say, New York ,own a whale , who’s in danger of being slaughtered by a Japanese ship in the Pacific may be difficult to enforce.

[Choose #3] I’d rather buy the whaling ship and make it an artificial reef. The whale shares looks like smoke and mirrors

[Choose #2] Do we really need to bribe business to be good stewards of our natural resources?

[Choose #3] Isn’t there an international law amounting to this now with Japan’s share of 900+ for research which is actually for food, just change the research catch share.

|
[Choose #1] Yes, but only if there was more enforcement of laws. This system would only work if everyone abided by the rules.
