I’d invite you to join my wife and I in Maui on those dates, but the flight cost from Florida would be a killer I have no doubt. My recommendation would be Cozumel. Flights to Cancun from Florida must be cheap. Check in at any dive resort in Cozumel and make tons of new friends on the boat.

You live in the same state as the best area to dive in the US. Key Largo. You can always find people to dive with you at the dive shops and boats. Always people to dive with there.

Do a stay-cation. Try fossil diving to your south or dive the springs to your north. You could also go to Lauderdale by the Sea with the first two reefs very close to the beach in that area and cheaper accommodations then in Lauderdale it self.

Well if you are looking to get away for the whole time, then yes, I would say go to Ft. Lauderdale, there is a meetup group there that dives everyday GoldCoast Scuba, and you can find a buddy through them! If you are looking for a couple of dives here or there, our meetup group out of Jax BubblesUp is diving at Manatee Springs on July 15th. Enjoy and explore!

I am diving on Wed, 7/18 morning out of Boynton Beach with two others from this site. One local and one from Out of town here vacationing as well.
Saturday we are planning
To go down to Key Largo for a couple of dives.
