Text Boxes on DiveBuddy have been Updated

I just updated all of the text boxes on DiveBuddy. I removed the old "advanced" text box that had the toolbar. It was starting to cause issues for users with newer web browser versions. Instead, I’m using a standard html text area which is supported by all web browsers and versions.

The text areas now support the following basic HTML and BBCode:

Hyperlinks (html, bbcode)
Images (html, bbcode: custom image size is not supported)
Basic Text Formatting (Bold, Italics, Underline)

Of course...you can simply type or paste a URL and I’ll convert it to a clickable hyperlink.

- The "http://" and "www." are removed from the hyperlink text.
- Images are forced to max width of 500px.
- If you edit old content, it will attempt to merge the formatting to match current requirements.
- If you use BBCode, it will be convereted to HTML code automatically.
- I do not support custom font types, sizes, colors or alignment. All text will be the same type, size, color and left aligned.

If you have any questions or experience issues with the new text area, please let me know.

You can now use the "Add Link/Image" option above the text area to easily add links and images.

If you enter only a Link URL, it will add the text only, then it will be converted to a clickable link once submitted.

If you enter a Link URL and Display Text, it will create the HTML code required to show the clickable text and hyperlink.

If you enter only an Image URL, it will create the HTML code required to display the image.

If you enter a Link URL and Image URL, it will create the HTML code required to display a clickable image that will direct users to the Link URL.

No I was just testing different types of headings. HTML code supports up to 6, I’m supporting up to 3.
