Oddest or most unusual places to dive

We have several water holes here in Tx that are so beautiful (check out Hamilton Pool Preserve near Austin) but aren’t considered dive areas. I’ve also seen people with scuba gear in muddy places as well as apartment pools.

Question is, where have you gone diving or considered diving that others may think is unusual?

South of St. Louis is Bonne Terre mine-coolest place so far. Flooded old mine shafts, water not so warm but diveable year round since you have to hike 100 feet underground. They do different trails and you have to do them in order. It’s dark in a lot of places but the caverns and different rooms are sweet. The old elevator and mine cars are pretty cool to see.

Not that it was super interesting but the missile silo in Abilene kinda makes people look at at me funny when I tell them I dove it
