Spruce Creek Scuba, Port Orange, an SSI shop.
Tracy, the owner, was my kid’s Jr OW and my Nitrox instructor, I haven’t been by there in a while, but it’s who I’d check in with in that area.

Tracy, are you intrested in a dive buddy for some or all of the week. I start vacation on the 29 and was looking to dive. I have been down to West Palm beach and Key Largo last year. I also did my sign off in a fresh water lake around Orlando a few years back. Let me know.

Hi Earl,
Not sure if your reply was directed to Tracy, but that’s the name of a shop owner in Florida. He/she probably won’t see this post. I’m headed to florida on the 27th with a non-diving friend. I was kicking around the idea of doing at least one dive but will not be diving the whole week. Just not sure it’s worth packing all the gear for just one dive. I’m actually going on a diving trip to little Cayman Sept 5-12th. Check out The Scuba Shack of Florence Ky. We dive at Gilboa once a month. We also travel to keys in Florida for dice trips. I have their dive club listed here on divebuddy. Club Narcosis.

There’s at least one charter that goes out of Ponce inlet, I’ve been seriously considering checking it out sometime soon because it’s close enough to dive and still report to work afterwards for second shift.
Usually considered better south of Ft Pierce as Gulf Stream is closer to the coast. Probably not as attractive as the Caymans, but it would add some variety.
Shop I recommend as place I’d get fills, had equipment serviced and bought tanks and regs (I tend to be a picky customer), but as far as the diving there, can’t help much.
