I havent, but have thought about it. There are even charters here in Florida (south Florida) that you can book just for that.

Hmmm.. I have a crtoch strap on my BC.. That would be WAAAAAY uncomfortable diving commando. I would look like Borat in his swimsuit. I think I’ll spare all my dive buddies of that sight. :)

With all of the gear I do not think that you can say you are diving nude, Just my opinion. : ( )

I would like to do it one day also. Just have to make sure that the appendage does not become fish food.

Diving nude in the UK is not an option, way to cold, on the plus side the old dangly bits would be safely tucked away due to the water temperature
Its funny you should ask that. I was talking to someone the other day and was asked that same question. So I went on line and found that Hedonism does have nude diving. Now I myself would have second thoughts about it. First the chafing around the arms with the BC. I also worry about anything biting or stinging and cutting. While it sounds hot and sexy and kinda kinky, Safety is always the first priority. But,,,,, swimming and snorkling and what not is a different story.

Absolutely too cold there... (besides...imagine the shrinkage)

I have noticed that there is only 1 woman who chose to answer this... comeon ladies, I know there has to be more out there than just Eve with an opinion on this, let alone some experience. Same with you guys. lets fess up here!

Could it be Malibu that Eve is the old and wise one or the wise old one?

Have been nude snorkeling and swimming (loved it). Tried nude scuba once. I didn’t think that it was all that great. All I really got out of it was one hell of a rash and abrasions from the BCD.
Although I did confirm that "yes, in fact everything does appear larger under water..." Sorry, just couldn’t resist.

I knew somebody would post that link sooner or later!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll be honest..the only way I’d dive nude is everyone else was blind!! Some things really need to be left to the imagination...unless I’m the one wondering! ha ha Seriously, I think I’d have to pass..with my luck I’d pick the time of year the jellyfish are mating or something!

I DONT WANT IT ALL BIT OFF !

Blade - 7/03/2008 4:00 AM
I have never done it but would if given the opportunity. Perhaps a night dive; just keep the lights off of me :-)

Nude snorkeling is popular here in Florida but you must be carefull. You can get a hell of a sunburn on your butt if you are not carefull.
No nude diving in the Pacific NW either. 49 degree w-w-wwater is just too c-c-c-ccccold!
But I did pee in a wet suit once...does that count?
My husband and I were just talking about this last weekend. We think it would feel great! We’ll let you know :)
Done it, would not want to do it again.

I personally have not, nor, do I believe that I ever will.
However, I heard a very interesting story last year around Thanksgiving of a female guest on a liveaboard in Belize who dove nude to celebrate her 100th dive. (I will not name the liveaboard company)
Quite naturally it created some excitement among the male crewmembers and guests. The female diver has never denied the story.

i was planning on doing it but my dive buddy chickened out on account of the catfish being used to eating hotdogs... >.[ lol
i dive in a bikini and have no probs with bc rubbing i don’t see how losing that little string would cause me to end up with bc burn
I think some of you guys have way too much time on your hands. LOL Denis
If you’re wearing all that dive gear, you’re not really naked. Maybe the best you could do would be to breathe off your buddy’s spare wearing nothing but your weight belt, mask and a smile.

I have to say... this is the first forum that actually is fun for everyone! Has there ever been a forum topic that got this many replies so fast? Great topic and keep on thinking about other great things to talk about. Hey Greg ! Can we see/show pictures of those who do dive...um... er au natural?

DIVE NUDE? just look at these guys swimming around me, I think that I would rather keep my little eel in the cave...right?

Bobo - 7/03/2008 11:59 PM
You might want to do it in a tropical location i think SOCAL would be a bit to cold, espically at 100’!
Now that is a real interesting thought, nude diver

You are right, it is gathering alot of interest and that may be because it is left to our imagination, I for one would rather keep it that way.

No I have not but would like to try it. (In Warm Water of course lol) Maybe we should plan a trip????????????

Well I think I will try anything once - and if I like it, I will try it again.
I am not sure I want anything below the surface having a nibble.

I really do LOVE divebuddy.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is my OTHER post! hahaha

Okay, I was thinking more like if the SCENARIO WAS PERFECT: Warm water, just you and your best buddy around. I have laid out on island nude before with boats going by in the distance and it is very liberating. So I thought, diving is already beautiful, so why not add to the experience of that FREEDOM, by getting rid of the clothes!?
Yes, and men would have to protect their naughty bits and women/men would also have to prevent so chaffing from the BC. Oooh, maybe the tank would be cold on my hiny!? hahahah
I have been in just a swim suit, so I can’t imagine the bc would leave a rash with that little bit of coverage gone, but would definitely try it :)
I’d venture to say that if you’re worried about fish eating your periscope, you’re getting a little too close to the holes (and not the good kind). I’d think with good buoyancy control and checking first to make sure nothing is living in those cracks and crevices (of the reef sorry, can’t resist the double entendres) you should be fine to dive nude. I just wouldn’t do it on a shark feeding dive.

I love how it is all being kept pretty clean . I have noticed that some replys are from people under the age of consent so plz continue to keep it all clean .
Thank you to all
Eve
We have young people on here and want to keep it safe for all.

Be aware of the aligators too. I tried free diving nude once in a private lake only to be surronded by gators. And to top it off as I exited the water a family pulled up in a mini van and stopped.
Yes but only in the pool, we had to change tanks, for round 3 & 4, at ten feet with heavy exertion you only get 30 min or so out of a tank. Can’t wait to try it again, I will make sure I have a dozen full tanks ready. I dont know if I want to try it on open water though.
ps sorry mike only she divers for me.

So how about we proclaim August - NDNM - or National Dive Nude Month... - Take em and jump in.
Very funny and well put seahawke!

My wife and I snorkeled out far off shore on our honeymoon in Grand Cayman. We then proceeded to have a little fun without the bathing suits. It was awesome. Luckily there were no critters around to byte on pieces and parts. I wouldn’t be apposed to a similar excursion with scuba gear.
Side note: My wife dives a DiveRite Transpac in a string bikini with no crotch strap. No chafing.

It is a cool thought! There’s another’s worman’s opinion.
