The same thing has happened to me a couple of times in the last couple of weeks.

The two new member names were Lonnieul & clairday18599, but I could not locate them on the member search. How about you Billl?

I just found the new member notifications in my trash can. I received two ghost notifications. One on 12/29 and one on 12/31. Even when already logged in they open up the home page. I couldn’t locate the accounts by searching either. I just assumed it was some kind of spammer trying to create an account and the system/moderators deleted the accounts.

I warned Greg about a user and he deleted that account. That was probably the one you were getting notices from.

Interesting. Thought i was losing it. Has been happening to me constantly lately.
Now i know i am not completely nuts (not yet anyway)

It is most likely due to members that try to join, that look suspicious, like spammers...so I suspend their account. I can change the Near Me notification so you’re only notified once they are an approved member.

I got one from a spammer. Greg took him off immediately. Good job.

I just changed the "Near Me" notification process...you should only receive a notification after I approve the member. Please let me know if you still receive "Near Me" notifications so that I know everything is working.
