Regulator for my sister - recommendations?

My little sister just got certified and I want to buy her a regulator. My regulator is a Poseidon Cyklon 300 that I have been using for over 10 years and I love it. But the Poseidons are so expensive now (over $500), I was wondering if there was a solid dependable regulator that wasn’t so expensive.

HOG D1, a very good regulator and reasonably priced.

Have been diving poseidons for 15 yrs. Have over a dozen Jetstreams and wouldn’t buy anything else. Have her save up a little longer and buy wen she can get the best! Why compromise and have to buy again later.

Oceanic alpha is really inexpensive. Not bad if most dives will be less than 60’

Solid dependable regulator that wasn’t so expensive, HOG is your best bet! I use them all the time in cave exploration and I’ve never had a problem with one. I do have a couple sets of Apeks regulators they work as well as HOG’s. I really can’t see buying an expensive regulators anymore, they wear same as the high dollar ones.
