My 1st mask I got w/ a purge because of the fear factor and wanting it as much idiot proof as possible. Now, I’m comfortable enough that MY next one will be without. However, you are the one wearing it. Do what you feel is best for YOU and will keep your anxiety level low. No need in ruining a perfectly good dive becasue your worried about weather you should have stuck w/ the purge valve.
