One mask I had did have a purge valve in the nose, but it disintegrated...That’s how long it has been since I started snorkeling. Since then I use mostly non-purge masks. I bought a mask for my husband that had a purge valve in the lower right cheek of the mask skirt. Not great, but effective.
Often more importantly than fit is where facial hair may intrude. I have to shave my temples to keep a good seal! You may also note that many divers have very short hair! Good Luck!
