My hair is about shoulder length but has layers and it use to float all over and usually in my face - pony tail holders would come out and tried the dew rag but that would come off too. Finally I found some cheap rubberish-plastic headbands at Target or Walmart - $3 for two of them. The band is about 1-2 wide and have a coated ruber band bottom - it keeps the hair out of my face plus out of my mask seal - love them!! Look at the picture link below (it’s also listed in my profile) - I have a blue & white band on.
