I love fins!
My all-time favorite: Mares Avanti Quattro: Powerful, light-weight and the straps are great for boat diving - I can loosen the buckles and loop them over my wrist if my buddy or dive master is too busy to grab them when I’m on the ladder. No cons. Several friends have bought them based on my recommendation and they love them too.
Oceanic Vortex: very light weight, almost no resistance/leg strain but because of that, they aren’t as powerful if you have to work through a current. I gave them away.
Aeris Velocity X3: Great power, spring strap (which is very tight and not as easily looped over your wrist as the Mares), sturdy and they are the heaviest of my three sets of fins. They are also a good value - you ought to be able to find them online for around $60.
