I’ve done lots of local diving and I’m always looking for a new place
to explore different from another routine CSSP dive. I was recently
told about Lake Pirkey. It’s near Longview, Tx. About a 2.5 drive
each way for me. It’s warmed by a power plant. (Not nuclear.) I’ve
was told it can be in the 70sF in the winter. This is interesting as
we could use another diving spot you can dive in the winter without
freezing your butt off.

At least the countryside looks pretty. I don’t know much else
about.

If you’re up to checking it out on the days you requested I will make
myself available. If you don’t like the Lake Pirkey idea I have a
couple of things on my list I want to do at Lake Murray, ~1.5
hour trip from DFW.
