Stainless or plastic? Weight keepers

I rented a weight belt while diving in Colombia, South America and really liked it. It seemed safer and easier than my usual Dive Rite weight pouches, so I decided to switch.

I bought the belt and weights but now I’m trying to decide if I want plastic or stainless weight keepers.

Is there a benefit to one or the other or a mix of both?

Any other thought on the subject are welcome as well.

Thanks!

I have some plastic one’s that are from when I got cert. in 1987 so I would say plastic does fine.

As Mr. McGuire said to Ben, "Plastics!".

Which one will break first. Which one will catch onto something else easier. Which choice is the best for your diving needs. Its your decision for your diving needs.

You answered my question which was, "How do the plastic keepers hold up over time." You’re a mind reader.
