My unique situation means that I already dive technical equipment (Nomad EXP sidemount) while I complete the requirements for SDI AOW c-card. Although at 55 I started late in my diving education, I have twin goals. The first is to gain the skills for wreck and reef diving to depths of about 300 ft; since this will allow me a wide range of wrecks and reefs to dive. The second (and much longer term) goal is to train as an Instructor, to then teach other disabled people how to scuba dive too.

Scuba has done wonders for me, especially my attitude. I am mostly looking for local dive buddies (Virginia, Maryland, Pensylvania and maybe North Carolina) for actual dives. I also am interested possible jaunts to the Great Lakes, or Outer Banks, or other "local" dive spots that we could drive to easily and without too much cost.
