I had always wanted to get scuba certified, but for one reason or another kept putting it off. I finally started training in late 2008 and obtained my PADI Open Water certification while on vacation in St. Lucia in January 2009. I’m now kicking myself for not starting this sooner!! I love diving, the quite and peaceful setting underwater, the diverse marine life and beauty are amazing. I’ve also been involved with photography for many years (as a hobby) and recently purchased a new HD video recorder and underwater housing. Hopefully I will be able to capture some good footage underwater so that I can share it with friends, family and buddies.
I’ve continued my training and since my initial certification, have completed my Advanced Open Water certification, Dry Suit, Nitrox/Enriched Air, CPR/First Aid, Rescue Diver and Equipment specialties. Next up will be Divemaster.
