I enjoy teaching diving. Working with students has some incredible benefits. They teach you to always think about what you are doing, not just do it out of habit. Have been doing O2ptima CCR diving in Playa del Carmen Mexico and Lake City Florida.

Completed my O2ptima instructors course, and am now one of two instructors based in South Africa that can present courses on the O2ptima. I have the only O2ptima’s in South Africa for rental and training use.

I am able to train on all version of the O2ptima. Refer diverite.com for information on requirements for teaching the latest version of the O2ptima

I will be diving Bass Lake, Miracle Waters from November 1-4. There will be scuba divers with open circuit (what most people dive) and some O2ptima CCR divers. We mix and match when we dive. For the divers out there that are intimidated by others with rebreathers, just see it as SCUBA because that is what it is. Most divers using rebreathers are using only Nitrox and not any special gas.

If you in South Africa over that period and would like to join us, please drop me an email and I will give you more information. Dive gear should be available for divers needing gear. first come first to get.

So, what happened with the ship in the photos? Was it setting the rig and accidentally sank?

Leading by example is definetely the way to show people, I don`t know if it`s in the books or not, but it`s mention in classes by a lot of instructors. With a lot of people; what the instructor says continues to stick with them more than what is read in the book. As for me, I also put the mask around my neck when not in use. I have never questioned the fact that the mask is safer when around the neck. Keep on being a good role model!!! thanks, Kirk
